Record each chosen scene or source to its own file from a dock in OBS Studio.
Multi Source Record adds a dock to OBS Studio. Pick the scenes and sources you want, then record them at the same time. Each one is written to its own file, using the recording folder and encoder from your OBS settings unless you give it its own.
Hit Record all or record rows one at a time. You can also have it start and stop with your stream, your OBS recording, or the replay buffer.
There is a Windows 64-bit build and a Linux build for OBS from Flathub. The downloads are only the plugin. They don't include the source code.
Works with OBS Studio 30 or newer, 64-bit. Quit OBS completely before you copy the files. If it's in the system tray, right-click it and quit.
Use OBS Studio 32 from Flathub (the app id is com.obsproject.Studio). Quit OBS before you copy the files.
Windows: OBS Studio 30 or newer, 64-bit. Linux: OBS Studio 32 from Flathub. The Linux file won't load in OBS installed from your distro's package manager, and the two builds aren't interchangeable.
Check the DLL or .so is at the exact path shown in the install steps, then fully restart OBS. On Windows, the zip goes into the OBS program folder (C:\Program Files\obs-studio), not C:\ProgramData. After that, turn it on from Docks → Multi Source Record.
By default they go to the recording folder set in OBS Settings, Output, and use the encoder from there too. You can give each row its own folder, container and encoder. Filenames can use these tokens: {name} {date} {time} {datetime}.
Whatever your OBS has: NVENC, x264, QSV and AMD, plus VA-API on Linux. If you pick an encoder your machine doesn't have, the row shows an error instead of recording.
NVIDIA cards limit how many NVENC encodes can run at once. Record fewer sources at the same time, or set the extra rows to x264.
Yes. In the dock's main settings, under Automation, you can have Record all start and stop with your stream, your OBS recording, or the replay buffer.
Unfortunately, no. Sorry.
